Dad, the MG & Santa's Little Helpers

When I think about my life and simple events that have powerfully affected me, one memory immediately pops into my mind. I think about my childhood between the ages of 5 and 12 when we lived in Bedford, VA. My Dad worked for a very large company in the area and every Christmas Eve we would travel around from house to house in his MG delivering presents to many of his employees and associates. My brother and I would pile in the back with all the gifts and off we would go. It was so exciting to see the looks and smiles on everyone's faces. However, at every one of our “Santa” stops we would always be greeted with Cokes and cookies. My Dad taught us from the beginning that Christmas was about giving. To this day, our family still makes every effort to make Christmas special and an “upgrading” experience for everyone.
