"Gratitude Has Healing Powers"

I have kept a picture of my daughter in my office for 23 years. It reminds me of that glorious day when I saw her for the first time. I look at it frequently and it always lifts my spirit. (For continuity sake...the above is from post #1 in the series...below is #6.)
Keeping Up With The Joneses
Expressing gratitude helps create a genuine contentment with what you have. Therefore, it inhibits the compulsion to compare ourselves with others. Really…what is the need to compare what we have to someone else if we are genuinely satisfied with what we have? In short, grateful people are less likely to pay attention to what others have and even less likely to envy it. Gratitude has healing powers.
